Crosley Air Conditioner VALVE This access valve is an authentic manufacturer parts kit used in appliances with a refrigerant such as the refrigerator and air conditioner. This kit includes a valve body, valve core and a valve cap. The body and cap are made of brass while the core is made from steel. If you notice that your appliance is leaking, not cooling adequately and the valve components are corroded, you should replace the access valve. As part of your general maintenance, you should also replace the valve if your appliance is more than 10 years old and the valve has never been changed. Use a valve wrench to remove the valve cap and use a core removal tool to pull out the core. Install the new valve body, core and cap and ensure they are securely fitted.
