This an authentic OEM 40-Watt replacement light bulb, used in a number of household appliances. It is specially designed to withstand extreme temperatures, which is why these replacement bulbs are most often used to light the inside of refrigerators and ranges. It features a standard socket base, which means you simply unscrew the burnt-out bulb and screw in the replacement. Depending on the appliance you may require a screwdriver or nut driver to access the light bulb. We recommend you wear work gloves while handling this replacement part. It is constructed of glass and metal and is sold individually. Depending on the appliance and location of the bulb within it, you may want to consider disconnecting power and using a flashlight for easier access to unscrewing and re-screwing in your bulb during this repair.

interior drawers were off their rollers

pulled the washer out and replaces the top roller system on both sides and the replaced the weels and brackets on the bottom drwaer. however i had trouble putting the dish washer back correctly and had to call a repairman to adjust the dishwasher and alighn it to open and close properly. but i did do good inside. i feel it was easy and a success. thank you for having the supplies for us to attempt to repair it on our own. Burner indicator light lense broke off

The light apparatus was loose behind the panel. Remove the remaining part of the lens. Install the new lens from the outside of the panel and hold it in position, protruding into the inside of the panel. This is a red indicator light lens for an oven that covers the indicator light for the surface element. The indicator light signifies when the element is on and heated. This part is sold individually. It is recommended to check other red indicator lights in case they need to be replaced because they often wear at the same rate. It is difficult to see the light without the red lens. This part does not include the light. If your light does not illuminate, you may want to consider ordering the light as well. Tools required for this repair are a 1/4 inch nut driver and a stubby Phillips screwdriver.

The oven light socket allows you to screw in a light bulb so that you can see the inside of your oven. The light socket is located in the back of your oven, so you will need to remove the back panel to access the socket for the repair. You will also need to remove the current light bulb and the light lens cover so that the old socket can be removed. As you will be working around electrical circuits for this repair, be sure to disconnect the power source from the oven before you begin work on the oven.

Oven light receptacle broken - bulb base broke off

Turned power off at electrical panel. Pulled oven away from wall. Removed back cover (6 screws), then unplugged wires from old receptacle. I had to pull the squeeze clips backwards & break them to remove the old receptacle - couldn't squeeze them enough to remove them otherwise. The old receptacle came out through the inside of the oven, and the new one snapped in easily from inside the oven as well. Replaced wiring, installed new bulb, restored power & tested. Replaced back cover. Good time to vacuum under/behind where the oven usually lives before sliding it back to the wall. Read more...

Oven (not broiler) element burned out, no oven heat

Inside the oven, I removed one Phillips screw on each side where the element mounts to the back oven wall. Then disconnected the wire on each side using pliers. Unscrewed glass lens, unscrewed light bulb. Replaced all pieces in reverse order. Took less than 10 minutes. Read more...
