... Read morethe new motor came I put the unit back together in reverse order it came apart, unpluged old wires one at a time and pluged new wire of same color in its place, all left to do was put outer cover back on and less than two hours had it back in my window feeling the cool air.
Identified the problem as broken exhaust fan and ordered part. Disassembled unit, installed fan however during the cleaning process the blower fan was broken but would still work. I would not recommend you attempt this kind of repair unless you have mechanical skills. Fins are very sensitive and in cases have to be combed.
