Symptoms - the timer is flickering. I am have told it is the mother board that is bad and needs to be replaced. I have been told it is an easy installation and that the unit really just needs to be opened up from the front and does not need to be taken off the hanging devices.

Hello Nancy, thank you for a very interesting question. We have found that the issue is most probably with the control board. We would suggest replacing the control board, part number PS12299300, to fix the issue. It manages various microwave functions such as heating, lighting and turntable operation. We have provided some relevant instructions which may not be of the exact same model but will help while replacing the control board. In order to replace the control board. Remove the top front panel. You will have access to the screws securing the control panel. Un-thread the screws and disconnect all the wire connectors. Un-thread the screws holding the control board to the control panel. Remove the control board. Replace it with the new control board and reassemble the unit. Glad to be of help!

Over a period of months, the display started flickering, then the unit wouldn't always beep, and then it stopped heating. I replaced the control board because I saw your response to Glen. The install was easy. Water boiled, and then I heated my lunch (about 12 mins of heating in 3 minute intervals). Come dinner time, the unit had stopped heating again. Might something have failed on the new control board? Or is there another suspect component?

Hello David, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the high limit thermostat. If it is not faulty, then you may need to check the control board, part number PS12299300, to solve the problem. We hope that helps!
Need to know how to get the cover off of the bulb to change

Hello Sandra, Thank you for writing. At the top of the unit there are screws that hold the Vent Grille in place. Once removed you can remove the Grille to access the bulb. We hope this helps!
Remove microwave outer cover. Turn on side & locate the upper & lower door switches. Better to replace in pairs even if one is ok. Remove the wire harness to each switch. Then replace switch and re connect the wire harness. Re attach outer cover and test to see if that solved the problem. If so then well done!!
First I disconnected the power and opened the door. Then I removed the top screws holding the top vent louvers, then removed the screw at the top of the touch pad. The touch pad removes by sliding up slightly then tilting top out. I unscrewed two screws holding the door latch assembly. Press the tab to remove and replace switch. Reco

I followed the generic trouble shooting directions on the web site. It suggested either diode, capacitor and/or magnetron. I test each. All tested OK except diode. It was supposed to measure open in one direction and appox 200k ohms in the other direction. My diode measured open in both directions (tried multiple times, multiple sett

It was easy to install but unfortunately no joy - did not solve the problem. At this point it is likely cheaper just to buy a new one
