Needed added length to Ryobi pole saw to reach higher branches
This was an added to make the pole saw longer, when needed. Hand tightening is all that's required; fits perfect, without any loss of power. Makes using the saw more difficult, but beats climbing trees, or using ladders.
it took you two and a half months to get my part to me. it took all of two minutes to install. wont order anything from you guys again. thanks for your inquiry.
I ended up ordering what looked like the same parts from this manufacturer's pole saw, and they fit exactly as planned. Beats spending $200 on a whole new saw just because these parts weren't available using the original saw's part numbers.
The chain gear was lost during work in the area. When trying to buy replacement parts Ryobi had discontinued the parts for the saw model number. Found the parts needed after spending time on the internet and comparing parts against Ryobi parts. Located the parts needed at PartSelect.com.
Cleaned the parts for the saw. Unpacked the new parts and installed the gear, washer and snap ring. Back cutting limbs and small trees.
The Lower Pole Assembly batter connectors bent and no longer touched the battery terminal
I had to unscrew about 10 different screws. That was easy...there were two hidden ones under the "RYOBI" Sticker.
The replacement pole had different colored electrical wires than the original. The OG had black and red (typical). The new one had red and BLUE.
Howerver, Black is usually (-) and Red is usually (+), so I wired up accordingly. But it was difficult to get the handle back on because of the design. Regarless, I got it on after I matched the Black with the Black and the Blue with what was the red.
When I turned it on, the sawblade was going backwards... And that was because the wires were mixed.
So I had to undo it again and then actually put the BLACK with the OG RED wire and the BLUE with the OG Black wire.
Now at this point, I had already cut the cables to fit, so I had to find the extra piece and basically, it is a bit of a mess...but it does work now and the sawblade goes in the correct direction.
